Monthly Masterpiece: Simply Stated

Posted on July 15, 2014September 30, 2015 by Danielle

what doesn't kill you
Sometimes we meet someone who inspires us; someone who discovered strength through their weakness, became fearless because they faced their fears, and learned  wisdom because of foolishness, whether it was their own, or someone else’s.

My July feature comes from a writer who’s known more than her share of struggles, and she’s chosen to embrace her mess rather than run from it.  She knows all about Kingdom living in an upside down world, where less is more, the least becomes the greatest, and in order to truly live you must die.

I have a story.

Everyone does, but my story is not just a story… It’s a TESTimony.

It began when Jesus met me on the floor of my closet in a puddle of tears, and it just keeps G – O – I – N – G!
I’ve spent the last seven years praying, begging, fasting, pleading with God for a miracle in my marriage and I’ve watched Him do some really amazing things. I’ve watched Him move mountains and I’ve witnessed His power as He set the stage for an incredible story of redemption, reconciliation and victory. My God could not have answered my prayers any better than He did. He truly is amazing.

Still…

I have no fairy tale ending.

I have no prince charming.

But.

What I do have is more TESTimony.

Here’s what I know that I know that I know that I know.

My God is always faithful.

My God never fails.

BUT.

My God is a gentleman.

“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” (Rev. 3:20)

He does not force Himself on anyone.

We all have a choice.

I had a choice.

I have a choice.

Every day.

Everyone does.

You can choose to let your test define your life, or you can allow God to define it through the power of your TESTimony.

To the world I am a broken and rejected woman.

An abandoned wife.

A struggling single mom.

But to the Lord…I am redeemed, made new, blessed and highly favored.

I am the bride of Christ.

I am the mom of three super kids. Michael (16) my rock, Matthew (12) whom you met last month, (click here to read if you missed his TESTimony) and Bella (9), my servant spirit. I know I CAN do all things through Christ who gives me strength.I already have the victory.

My story is far from over. I refuse to be defined by the choices of others. I will be defined by my love for My Daddy.

After all….

I am My Daddy’s Girl.

I AM My Daddy’s Girl.

Nice to meet you!

Again…

Angela Cuocci is a loving mother to 3 beautiful children and  a faithful follower of Christ. Her walk with the Lord began in 2007 as a result of some very  difficult circumstances. A daddy’s girl most of her life, it was at that point that she officially became “My Daddy’s Girl”.  The close, loving relationship with her earthly father laid the perfect ground work for Gods love, no matter what the challenge. She is now an enthusiastic writer, an accomplished cook, and a minister of the gospel where ever she goes.

Hey there, thanks for stopping by! My name is Danielle … radically redeemed and wildly loved by a Savior who’s teaching me that real is not perfect. In fact, I am learning that being real is quite messy.

For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.
