Praying Gods Word {day 6} Thoughts

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Romans 12:2

When God rescued me from my pit dwelling days, I needed a new way of thinking. I could no longer think and do things the way I used to do them. My heart and mind had to be completely focused on Him, and the changes that needed to be made began with my thoughts.

“We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”

2 Corinthians 10:5

Have you ever thought about what you think about? The Bible says, “so as a person thinks within himself, so he is,” Proverbs 23:7. Paul gives us an outline for things to think on.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

Philippians 4:8

Pray with me today that our thoughts would be pleasing to the Lord.

Lord,

Help me to take every thought that is not pleasing to you captive, and put on the mind of Christ. If my mind begins to wander, remind me of Your truth, which makes me free. Help me to think on what is true, what is good in Your sight, and what is praiseworthy.
